Want to help give dogs a second chance to have an amazing life? Foster? Volunteer? Donate? Adopt?
Not sure which option is best for you?
Foster families provide care for their foster dog as if the dog were their own. This helps dog prepare for transition into an adoptive home. Contact Jean at canineadvocate1@yahoo.com to get started.
Volunteers do everything from walking dogs to helping out at events. Contact Amy at aroth@lucascountypitcrew.com to volunteer.
Donors provide the necessary funds or equipment to provide veterinary care or training for dogs in foster care. We accept donations at all of our events, via PayPal, or via check at LCPC 855 N McCord Toledo, OH 43615.
Adopters give a forever home to a dog in need.

We average 45-55 dogs in foster care at any one time. Can't foster? Help out our foster families by making a food or equipment donation.

Sponsors Needed!

Want to help some of our adoptable dogs find forever homes? Consider sponsoring! Sponsors provide adoption incentives by providing part of a dog's adoption fee. Sponsors also help provide needed medical care or special items for a dog in need. Any amount helps. Simply select the dog you would like to sponsor, then donate in their name via our paypal link (top of this page),  or at any event, or by check to our Training and Adoption Center 855 North McCord Rd Toledo, OH 43615.

All sponsors that donate $75.00 dollars, or more, will have their family name, or business, listed with the sponsored dogs profile. Jersey is currently in need of a sponsor.

Our featured adoptable dog is Gibson!

Gorgeous Gibson! This gentle guy has the most striking blue eyes and sweet temperament to match. (DOB 11/9/2012) Gibson is a ready made companion and is young enough to enjoy a nice walk but old enough to love just hanging out. He knows all of his basic good manners. Gibson is living in a foster home and is crate trained and house trained. He is neutered, micro-chipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is only $75 dollars because she is sponsored by Doug and Janet Roberts. If you think Gibson might be the guy for you, please email pitcrewapplication@gmail.com for an application.

We intake most of our dogs from pounds and shelters in Lucas County or dogs in need of medical care from veterinarian referral. Stray dogs should be taken to your local animal control office so they have an opportunity to be reunited with their owners.
